Tropicalia Shortlisted for Most Effective Domestic Community Investment Award

We are proud to announce that Tropicalia was shortlisted for the Ethical Corporation Responsible Business Awards in the category of “Most Effective Domestic Community Investment,” recognized specifically for our girls’ summer camp “Soy niña, soy importante”. The Ethical Corporation provides business intelligence to more than 3,000 multinational companies (NGOs, think-tanks, academia, governments and consultancies) and publishes the leading responsible business magazine, website, and research reports. The awards pay tribute to businesses that are committed to responsible business and corporate sustainability.

With fingers crossed, Tropicalia attended the awards dinner on September 29th in London, and although we did not win, being shortlisted was a tremendous honor, as we were one of 400 applicants to be selected by a panel of European academics. For a brief moment, we rubbed elbows with industry giants like Starwood Hotels, Mars, Nestle, and Itau, among others. So for Tropicalia and our young foundation, this was a huge win.
