Supporting the socioeconomic wellbeing of Miches
Since 2008, Fundación Tropicalia has stood side-by-side with the people of Miches as a lifelong neighbor aligning our initiatives directly with the community’s own identity and aspirations. Our work spans education, youth and culture, environmental stewardship, and economic inclusion, building a platform for future growth. Located in the northeastern Dominican Republic, Miches stands as an emerging global destination for luxury and sustainable tourism. Through circular collaboration, we ensure tourism remains equitable, accessible, and deeply respectful of local heritage.

Fundación Tropicalia celebrated the 14th edition of "Soy niña, soy importante," where 310 girls ages 9 to 12 spent three weeks in workshops on health, sexual education, finance, and art, alongside sports and wellness activities. Since 2013, the program has reached over a thousand girls. After the camp ends, the girls continue their development through "Club de Chicas" and "Mi Ruta," which have already supported 37 teens with mentorship and career guidance.
